People use this term more and more frequently these days. Web 2.0. But what is it really? And what do people mean when they talk about it? Some may mean make the graphics all bubbly, some may mean the content can be accessed through RSS. The confusion comes into play because the term really has many facets and multiple meanings. It’s always good to clarify exactly what someone means when they start talking to you about Web 2.0.
I found a nice presentation on SlideShare that brings together these facets and explains them very simply. I think slides 5-7 really help to clarify the overall space that the term is used to reference. Enjoy.

What does it mean to interact with people without being face to face?
If you work at a computer, you can have the world of people you know at your fingertips, no matter where you are. You might be in the same building or oceans apart, you are connected instantly to other people with instant messaging tools.

You can leave a status regarding how ‘available’ you are to chat.
Here’s my question about Instant Messaging Manners.
Should people regularly use their status indicator when instant messaging, or is that just nice to have?
I try to mind my manners, but it can get away from a person.
